All Deviations

A weary traveler weakened from
Dark Nightmares of her past
Sought her refuge on my Land,
Though moving none too fast.

Her steps were slowed and weakened by
So many hardships braved,
I scarce believed her weary Soul
Had much life left to save.

Her cloak was drenched, as was her heart,
Both proved such massive weights,
And tears welled up into her eyes --
She knew she'd been too late.

She staggered to a tree I'd placed
Upon Eternal Plain --
Placed upon this plot I gave her
Of our Forever Pain.

She did so well; I was so proud,
Though it hurt to see her cry,
And how I longed to hold her close
Up in my plot of Sky.

aha! So the person saying these words is the weary traveler's lost companion. Cool stuff.
